Humbrol (Hornby Hobbies) Enamel Rust Wash – Specialist Model Making Weathering Enamel-pigment solution in a 28ml glass screw cap bottle. Enamel Rust Wash is designed to simulate the effect of rust on various surfaces, from engines and rust related build ups on metal surfaces or details. Enamel Rust Wash can be used on any model, miniature or landscape to achieve a rusty visual effect. Humbrol Enamel Rust Wash is formulated for optimized realism relative to creating a rusty appearance on areas of vehicles or rusty, mechanical areas of models such as on exhausts, older vehicle panel lines and tracks. Rust wash can be used lightly or heavily to achieve the desired visual effects.

Ethical Note: You can make rust wash by placing wire-wool in vinegar for 72+hrs, resulting in a literal rust wash, however application requires a sealing layer and is not assured as with purpose manufactured rust wash which adheres well to plastic surfaces permanently.
